The Piatt County Animal Shelter is open by appointment only. To make an appointment, contact our Shelter Manager.

The Piatt County Animal Shelter is located on The Pontious Farm in White Heath, Illinois, 15 miles west of Champaign, Illinois, off Interstate 72.

If you're traveling from I-74

1. Take the Mansfield exit and drive into Mansfield.
2. At Route 150 (about half a mile), turn right.
3. Just after the Galesville 7 miles sign (about 100 yards), turn left (on what is actually Washington Street, but it's really hard to see the sign).
4. At Route 10 (about 8 miles), turn left.
5. At The Pontious Farm sign (about 1 mile), turn right.
6. At the stop sign (about 1 mile), turn right.
   
7. At Apple Street (about 100 yards), turn left.
8. At Commercial Street, turn left.
9. At Plum Street, turn right.
10. You'll see a baseball field on your right. Drive up Blueberry Lane beside the baseball field to The Pontious Farm.

If you're traveling from I-72

1. Take the White Heath exit.
2. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right (no matter which direction you came on I-72) and drive into White Heath.
   
3. At Apple Street, turn right. (If you pass the Co-op, you've gone too far.)
4. At Commercial Street, turn left.
5. At Plum Street, turn right.
6. You'll see a baseball field on your right. Drive up Blueberry Lane beside the baseball field to The Pontious Farm.
